Dear Martha,

It’s a bit daunting to begin a this. How does one begin to put thoughts in order? I have always been the one who can relay my thoughts verbally and trying to express myself via keyboard is so much different. Without any shortage of things to talk about, and a life most definitely lived hard, I feel I have something to share in my experiences. I watched you throughout your entire career, and with noble bitchy-ness you have conquered so many obstacles, as have I. Our stories are so very similar, yet different in social status. i look forward to sharing my days with you as my most trusted pen pal. My hope is not to gain a million subscribers, but to write you, in hopes that it will help keep myself on track towards my personal goals. My brain runs at a million miles an hour, and I refuse to stop it. My creativity comes from my sometimes-scattered brain, grabbing at ideas when they fly by, and when it sticks, I go all out, down to the very last detail. As no detail is too small. I am trying something new in my life, at your recommendation (which can be very difficult as I near 50), and that is to learn something new every day. So, here I go. Into the void. Big step.

Your Friend, J
